The Kickstarter to fund publication of Leagues Of Cthulhu, the Ubiquity-powered supplement for Lovecraftian shenanigans in Leagues Of Adventure (and Hollow Earth Expedition et al) is already to go live on October 24 (a week later than originally announced).
A preview of the Kickstarter, from Triple Ace Games, is available here, so you can plan your investment ahead of time and start drooling (like a mad thing) over the details of the book and the proposed stretch goals.
The reason for the slight delay was explained as follows:
"Despite our best efforts, we’re still working on the graphic design element for Leagues of Cthulhu. It’s a painful decision, but we’ve decided to delay the launch by one week. No one is more disappointed than us (save maybe Cthulhu himself), but we don’t want to cut corners or rush things. Given our past record for excellent work, we’re sure the end result will be worth the extra time."Triple Ace Games have a flawless record of Kickstarter fulfilment and I love to mix a bit of Lovecraftiana in my games (just check out my latest apocalyptic campaign), but I won't be backing this Kickstarter.
Because some of my lovely friends have offered to back it on my behalf as a 50th birthday present for me! How cool is that?
